Under the patronage and in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development launches today the 2nd Knowledge Forum under the slogan “From Inspiration to Innovation” at the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel in Dubai. The Forum this year will include more than 120 writers, publishers and cultural officials from the UAE and will discuss issues related to knowledge production in the UAE through 6 discussion groups dedicated to the program “Preparing Young Authors”. On her part, Her Excellency Afra Al Sabri, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, stressed that the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, through the Knowledge Forum, focused on creating an opportunity for creative Emirati writers to get to know more about the program “Preparing Young Authors”. The program represents a qualitative leap in the development of the UAE cultural scene through a comprehensive group of services provided by the Ministry to the UAE Youth wishing to participate in the program. The 2nd Knowledge Forum also represents an opportunity to partner with different publishing houses and cultural institutions to introduce new ideas for the development and success of the Preparing Young Authors program. Al Sabri added that the forum, which comes under the patronage of HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, includes six different specialized discussion groups dedicated to discussing all the aspects of the knowledge production industry in the country, thus supporting young authors at various stages. The discussion groups will include : cultural institutions, UAE writers, publishing houses, young creators, children's story writers and theatrical writers. Al-Sabri affirmed that His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak will tour the different discussion groups to explore their views about enhancing the capabilities of Emirati culture and supporting new generations.
