Within the framework of its participation in the events of the Month of Reading, the Ministry of Culture organized the fourth session of "Reading in Majalis" entitled "Reading is the Door to Knowledge and Future" in Al Heneya area in Al Fujairah in the Prince Ali bin Salem Al Dahmani Majlis. It was attended by HE Hamdan Karam Al Kaabi, Director General of Fujairah Authority for Culture and Media, the Poet Abdulla Al Hadeya, Sultan Melih, Director of the Ministry’s Cultural Center in Fujairah and more than 50 people from local departments in Fujairah, parents and students. The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development launched its project "Reading in Majalis" which includes a range of cultural programs and activities organized in neighborhood Majalis to activate its role as reading and knowledge hubs. A number of events will be held in Majalis such as book clubs and workshops. The project focuses on promoting the habit of reading through community bonding available in UAE neighborhoods majalis. This comes within the framework of the Ministry's participation in initiatives supporting the national strategy for reading.
