The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development took part in the Education and Training Technology Exhibition in London BETT – 2017 in the British capital London, in the presence of His Excellency Hakam Al Hashemi, Assistant Undersecretary for Culture, Arts and Antiquities at the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development. The wing included a range of Ministry’s services, including the smart library, Emirates digital library, Ramsatna application, voice commands application, national identity observatory and the Arabic language support application. Al Hashemi said that His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, stressed the importance of participating in the exhibition , taking advantage of innovative technology solutions offered by the world's largest specialized scientific and cultural bodies, especially the ones that would add to the achievement of the strategic plan of the Ministry of culture and its initiatives. He further explained that the ministry is keen through its participation to explore opportunities for cooperation with all participating international cultural and educational to build a strategy for the exchange of knowledge and expertise in the field of technical partnerships in order to expand the circle of innovative electronic services provided by the ministry and to benefit from successful experiences in the field of technology. He explained that participation in the "BETT" conference is an opportunity for the delegation of the ministry to get introduced to the most recent uses of technology especially related to iPad and smart phones applications and innovative ideas on how to employ them in the field of culture and knowledge. On the other hand HE Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Naimi, Minister of Education in Bahrain praised the level of participation of the Ministry of Culture in this international exhibition which reflects the high level of technology reached in the sector of culture and knowledge in the United Arab Emirates. Her Excellency Jamila bint Salem Misbah Al Muhairi, UAE Minister of Public Education, assured during her visit to the wing that it clearly relects the cultural, educational and cognitive scene of the UAE. The Ministry’s wing was also visited by HE Marwan Al Sawaleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, HE Khulood Al Qasimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Control Sector at the Ministry of Education and a delegation from the UAE embassy in the United Kingdom. The delegation of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development lead by HE Hakam Al Hashemi, Assistant Undersecretary for Culture, Arts and Antiquities, toured wings of the exhibition to get to know more about best practices and experiences of other participating countries.
