His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan praised the participation of Sheikhs sons, Ministers and the public in the Book Bank box available at the Ministry’s pavilion at the Abu Dhabi Book Fair, reflecting their huge support to the initiative. Sheikh Nahyan noted “The keenness of the sons of H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Faisal bin Sultan Al Qassimi and H.E. Hussein Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, to participate and donate a number of books to the box reflects their efforts to support innovative and creative initiatives.” His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development further assured that the "Book Bank" is one of the most important projects and initiatives implemented by the Ministry . It contributes to raising the level of cultural and knowledge awareness among members of society and implementing the culture of reading and principles of goodness due to its role in promoting the spirit of social responsibility and cooperation. His Excellency pointed out that the Abu Dhabi Book Fair is now one of the most important cultural events organized yearly by the United Arab Emirates, on both the Arab and international levels. Not only does it contribute effectively to building cultural coherence within the UAE society, but it also helps build cultural bridges between people from different origins.
