The Ministry of Culture has been honored with the 2023 Silver Stevie Award in the Sustainability Initiatives category, surpassing more than 3700 global government and private entities from 61 countries worldwide.

This accomplishment is in line with the state's strategic goals for sustainable development, with a focus on the preservation and safeguarding of heritage in its various forms. The Ministry has implemented comprehensive policies, strategies, and national projects in this area, fostering collaborations with active international organizations. This is underscored by the belief in the significance of preserving this heritage for future generations, through heightened awareness of the cultural and natural heritage's importance and its role in human history and identity, and emphasizes the significance of conserving historical and heritage sites, achieving a balance in the preservation of natural heritage and its surrounding environment, ensuring sustainability, and fostering international collaboration to protect world heritage, while sharing expertise and resources to help preserve heritage in different countries.

In a statement, His Excellency Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, highlighted, "This win is a testament to the Ministry's dedicated efforts in introducing and adopting unique initiatives that align with the country's vision of implementing the highest sustainability standards in governmental operations and establishing a supportive and advanced work environment." He added, "The award underscores our commitment to enhancing the country's regional and global position and leadership in sustainability, achieved through the development of high-quality projects and programs that contribute to increasing community awareness of the importance of resource preservation and actively contribute to the achievement of various development goals, in line with the future aspirations of the next fifty years."
