Ideas And Suggestions Of Participants, Parents And Supervisors Will Form The Basis Of Next Year’s Program

The Higher Committee of the Cultural Summer Program, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, directed all cultural centers to organize brainstorming sessions during the sixth and final week of the program. These brainstorming sessions aim to discuss and implement the development of next year’s workshops and activities, according to ideas and suggestions by participants, parents and supervisors, in accordance with the general plan set by the High Committee. “This initiative will have a positive impact on the development of the program, as it is an opportunity to put the wishes of participants, parents and organizers together. This would increase interaction between supervisors, students and their parents to reach a balanced cultural product that will enhance the positive energy of students, discover and develop talents by specialists in all cultural and knowledge fields.”, commented Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director of the Government Communication Department at the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development. “These sessions will facilitate communication between the Program’s Higher Committee and participants, which would lead to the development of activities and the launch of new initiatives in next year’s program.”, added Al Nuami. Brainstorming sessions in Ajman and Umm Al Quwain In response to the invitation of the Higher Committee, cultural centers in Ajman and Umm Al Quwain organized brainstorming sessions in the presence of a number of participants, parents and participating bodies in the program. A large number of initiatives and future visions were proposed during the sessions. These initiatives were received by the organizing committee, and will be studied for the implementation of what is appropriate to the strategy of the program in the future. Indicators assure that the first session of the Cultural Summer program achieves its goals The Cultural Summer Program, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, continues the activities of its sixth and final week, amidst a huge turnout from participants. “Thursday will mark the end of the events and activities of the6 week long program, and all cultural centers are currently preparing for a closing ceremony.”, commented Yasser Al-Gergawi, Director of Cultural Events Department at the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development. “The program succeeded in attracting large numbers of UAE citizens and residents and indicators assure that the first session of the Cultural Summer program achieved its goals.”, pointed Al-Gergawi. “The Organizing Committee conducts daily monitoring to measure the program’s achievements, participants turnout and satisfaction, number of talents and the number and quality of events and activities, all of which indicate the achievement of the strategic objectives of the program.” , added Al-Gergawi. Cultural Summer visits Umm Al Quwain Municipality Meanwhile, participants in the cultural summer program in Umm Al Quwain visited Umm Al Quwain Municipality. They were received by His Excellency Obaid Ghanim Al-Sakal, Deputy Director of Umm Al Quwain Municipality, who welcomed the students and praised the initiatives and activities of the Ministry of Culture. Students attended a workshop on food safety , and were introduced to the correct ways to store food and were informed on how to deal with expired food. Students also visited the recycling exhibition in Um Al Quwain municipality, where they were introduced to materials that can be recycled such as paper and plastic. Students visit Ras Al Khaimah Radio The Ras Al Khaimah Cultural Center organized a visit to Ras Al Khaimah Radio, were students were introduced to the date of establishing the radio station, means of programs broadcast, the radio crew, broadcasters and radio archives. Students also visited radio studios and control rooms. At the end of the visit, Mr. Mohammed Ghanem Mustafa, General Director of Ras Al Khaimah Radio, expressed his pleasure to welcome participants of the cultural summer program and gave them some useful tips for their future. Environmental Awareness workshops in Masafi Masafi cultural center organized an environmental awareness workshop over the course of two days. The workshop aims at minimizing the impact of waste on the environment, conserving natural resources, encouraging students to preserve the environment and recycling wastes.
