Creation and Production
The Creation and Production grant aims to finance the production of original artistic and creative works.
The grant can cover pre-production, production, post-production costs such as audiobook conversion, digitalization of books, rental of locations and specialized equipment, post-production costs such as editing/subtitling, production of building designs, recording and publishing costs. The Ministry of Culture will support up to AED 100,000 under the Creation & Production grant.
Grant Utilization
The grant can be utilized in rental of equipment (such as technical audio/visual equipment, other specialized equipment), rental of space required for video/audio recording, material costs necessary to produce artistic work (props, supplies, costumes, art materials), professional service fees (research, editorial, consultancy, collaborator professional fees, etc.), and costs involved for post-production of projects.
Requirements

Projects that portray artistic excellence, demonstrate unique perspectives or original concepts that will attract interest or have creative appeal

Project planning and execution demonstrates professionalism and quality

Project budget breakdown must be clear, realistic, and aligned with current market rates

Project delivers strong outcomes that will add value to the UAE’s CCI sector

Applicants must have a strong portfolio/CV and successful track record that demonstrates artistic excellence.

Applicant’s background demonstrates an active contribution to the UAE cultural and creative industries scene

Applicant must have already received the required approvals or permits necessary to deliver the project (i.e., script approvals, print permission, permission to circulate/distribute, etc.)
How to apply:
Applicants must be able to submit all the comprehensive documents in order to provide the grants assessment committee with a clear understanding of the details of the project and the resources required to deliver it.

- Director’s brief
- Prototypes, examples
- Synopsis (summary of project)
- Storyboards (frame-by-frame of project)
- Script
- Mood board or shot list (style, aesthetics, or planned shots for project)
- Scope of project (production, budget, location, identified cast)
- Production budget breakdown
- Equipment list
- Trailer (if available)
