Aimed at fostering talent and overall cultural production
The Ministry of Culture has launched the National Grant Program for Culture and Creativity that includes a set of grants to offer support to UAE national creatives. Aimed at fostering talent and overall cultural production, the grants target creative professionals distinguished in the cultural and creative industries.
Objectives

Support UAE creative professionals to enhance their creative, intellectual, and professional growth at critical stages in their careers.

Promote and preserve the UAE’s national identity and heritage through cultural production.

Build a robust talent pool in the country to enrich the UAE’s creative economy.

Support UAE creatives to gain exposure for their creative works on local and international platforms.

Widen the network of the UAE’s homegrown cultural and creative industries and enhance its socioeconomic value.

To encourage sustainability within the practices of cultural and creative practitioners by integrating environmentally-friendly materials and processes.

Sustainability
The Ministry of Culture’s commitment to sustainable development not only underscores the nation’s dedication to preserving the planet for future generations but also aims to foster a culture of shared responsibility within the creative community.
We highly encourage applicants of the National Grant Program for Culture and Creativity to consider how their projects or participations could help contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through raising awareness or making change. Creatives have the power to inspire widespread change and raise awareness about the importance of safeguarding our environment, catalyzing a paradigm shift towards greener and more sustainable creative industries. By integrating environmentally-friendly practices, carefully selecting materials, minimizing waste, and adopting renewable energy sources, creative professionals can play a pivotal role in advancing the UAE’s Green Agenda 2030 and leveraging the transformative power of culture in addressing global pressing challenges.
The National Grant Program for Culture and Creativity has proudly received the Sustainable Impact Label from Majra.
Note: Applicants that integrate sustainable practices or ESG priniciples within their projects are eligible to receiving additional points within the evaluation.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 connected aims designed to provide a “roadmap for attaining a better and more sustainable future for all people”.

Eligibility
The grants program targets emerging or established UAE national creative professionals.
Applicants should have an academic background in the relevant creative field and either have work experience for at least 3 years with a strong professional track record or completed achievements within the field being applied for. Those fulfilling these criteria are encouraged to complete the online application form below and ensure to attach the specific documents required for each grant category.
