The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development has now opened the Happiness Café in its headquarter in Abu Dhabi, giving a chance to employees to relax and unwind during their official working hours. The Happiness café is not only home to laid back couches and sofas , it also includes reading, musical and cultural stations, in addition to various entertainment games that would help revitalize and rejuvenate employees during working hours. It additionally includes an outdoor green area and a fountain to create an atmosphere of positivity and happiness. The Happiness café was inaugurated by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, in the presence of Her Excellency Afraa Al Sabri, Under Secretary of the Ministry, the Customer Happiness Team, the Innovation Team and Employees of the Ministry. His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, assured that opening the Happiness Café in the Ministry’s headquarter in Abu Dhabi reflects the aim of turning one’s workplace into a positive environment allowing employees to release their productive energy and efforts, thus undoubtedly developing and refining the work environment in the Ministry . This will in turn be reflected on the level of employee satisfaction, which will consequently impact the levels of production. His Excellency added that the Ministry is always keen on launching a number of programs and initiatives to encourage and motivate employees positive competition and occupational excellence. Sheikh Nahyan noted “Our wise leadership has launched the National Program for Happiness and Positivity” which includes a number of initiatives in 3 main fields; including happiness in the policies, programs and services of the government sector and its work environment, establishing the values of positivity and happiness as a way of life in the UAE community, and the development of new standards to measure happiness in the UAE community.” His Excellency further praised the efforts exerted by our wise leadership represented in Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Commander of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, and their brothers Rulers of the Emirates. Sheikh Nahyan pointed to the fact that according to the World Happiness Report 2016 the UAE ranked the first happiest country in the Arab level and ranked the 28th happiest country in the world. This stimulates us to exert more to reach the list of the top 5 on the international level of happiness.
