
Theaters of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in Abu Dhabi, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah were full house during the first days of the Eid to attend the plays "Bye Bye TV" which is produced and written by Salem Al-Junaibi on the stage of the National Theater in Abu Dhabi, “Transit” which is directed by Marwan Abdullah and written by Talal Mahmoud on the stage of the of the Ministry's Center in Ajman, and the play "Al Basha Fe Warta" directed by Mohammed Al-Qattan and written by Hamad Al-Hammadi on the stage of the of the ministry's center in Ras Al Khaimah. This stems from the Ministry’s keenness to support the UAE theatrical movement, Emirati cultural and creative production to reach Arab and global creativity. “The ministry, under the directives of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, has always sought to provide all forms of support and care for young creative artists in all cultural, artistic and literary fields in order to encourage Emirati youth to innovate. This comes within the framework of investing in the efforts and energies of young people which would ultimately make them capable of expressing their vision and perceptions.” Commented Yasser Al-Gergawi, Director of Cultural Events Department at the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development. He added that the Ministry is also keen to educate the public through the presentation of Emirati theatrical plays aimed at cultural development and the support of the theatrical movement in the state. On his part, the young artist Marwan Abdullah Saleh expressed his great appreciation for the support provided by the Ministry of Culture, stressing that “Transit” is a comedy delivered to the audience by young actors trying to present purposeful comedy to the UAE audience. On the other hand, the artist Salem Al-Junaibi said that he is proud to present his play on the National Theater in Abu Dhabi, one of the most important theaters of the UAE, praising the efforts of the Ministry of Culture in supporting the theatrical movement in the country. Mohammed Al Qattan, director of the play "Al Basha Fe Warta" playing at the theater of the Cultural Center in Ras Al Khaimah, confirmed that the support of the theater groups is not strange to the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development.
